We left Portland Marina at 11.30am to catch the tide to round Portland Bill bound for Falmouth, a “sail” (we had to motor again, due to lack of and direction of the wind) of 124 miles. Having filled out a laborious and tedious online immigration form for the 3 UK government agencies that want to know you are leaving the UK. They even emailed me within 6 hours to tell me there was missing information and to do it again properly. Isn’t Brexit a blessing….
Yesterday evening Paul (The Irishman), took off for his first run around Portland Bill. This spit of land is an old fort and Royal Navy base, much of which is now derelict or prisons! Fascinating place.

Rounding Portland Bill is a right of passage and as this was Andy’s first time, he got the honours of the helm. After an eventful night (see day 3), we arrived in Falmouth at 09.00am this morning.
